A few things about myself and my training techniques

Hello to everyone reading this! I am Brianna James a Certified Dog Training Professional. I went through extensive testing to be certified by Animal Behavior College as a Professional Dog trainer as known as an ABCDT. Along side my ABCDT Certification, I also hold a bachelors degree in General Psychology. I am also a proud member of The Association of Professional Dog Trainers.

I am a life long resident of the Golden Isles of Coastal Georgia, and currently reside on St Simons Island

My training philosophy is a positive reinforcement approach based in the principles of Operant and Classical Conditioning. As a member of the APDT we use The Humane Hierarchy (or LIMA), which is a training model that follow a hierarchy of the least-intrusive minimally-aversive techniques when training a dog. Which means that all training will be reward based methods that have been proven to be effective for dog training and treating problem behaviors. At no time will aversive training tools and methods be used during sessions . If you have used or are currently using these methods such as e-collars, prong collars, or choke chains please do not let that deter you from reaching out!

Please remember when looking for a Dog Trainer is it important to remember that the dog training industry is an unregulated industry that does not require certifications to call yourself a professional dog trainer. Whomever you choose please make sure they are a certified professional who is making an effort in continuing education, and are using methods based from scientific studies.
